Is this Angry Birds 2 or Angry Birds Rio?

While we know Rovio have been hard at work with the upcoming Angry Birds Seasons update for Valentine's Day which will be out either just before or on Feb. 14, 2011 as well as a new version of the game themed around the upcoming Rio movie, we now may have pictures of what could be Angry Birds 2.

Back when German TV station DW-TV reported on Angry Birds Seasons and the upcoming Valentine's Day update, two other screenshots were snapped in the video which look nothing like the original Angry Birds nor does it look like anything you'd find in Angry Birds Season's upcoming Valentine's Day update.

Through process of elimination then, this could only mean one of two things: these screenshots are of the upcoming Angry Birds Rio game or are a quick peek at what could be Angry Birds 2. You'll notice that the background environment is a lot more detailed. It was mentioned in the report that Rovio was working on "new versions of Angry Birds".

So for now we get to speculate, is this Angry Birds Rio or Angry Birds 2? Either way, and I think everyone can agree on this, it is already looking pretty damn awesome and we can't wait to get our hands on it. You can check out the video of the report below in case you missed it. We will see if our friends over at Rovio will tell us any more information.
