You may not have heard of MocoSpace but they have been around since before Zynga making HTML 5 social games that are cross-platform compatible. They don't even release their mobile games onto any mobile marketplaces but due to their success, specifically with Stage Hero, MocoSpace plans to double their releases.
Stage Hero is a social game where you can play solo gigs or group up with other people and play as a band. Sort of like Rock Band but browser-based and more RPG-style, sort of like Mafia Wars. As with all social games, you also have the option of improving your character faster by purchasing in-game items using Moco Gold, the in-game currency.
Right now Stage Hero is boasting 350,000 active users per month across Android, iOS and mobile browser users and because of this success, MocoSpace is planning to double the amount of games they had slated for release in 2011. What does this mean for everyone? More mobile social gaming of course! Great news if you like these types of games whether you enjoy Farmville type of gaming or more along the lines of Stage Hero.
You can check out the full press release below. We will see if we can dig up some information on what games they are planning to release in 2011. If you are interested in playing Stage Hero or any other MocoSpace game on your Android device, just head over to their site and download the game you want!
