Back in September we reported on this neat little add-on for the iPhone that was soon to be getting Android device support as well. The iControlPad snaps on around your device basically giving you a full set of game controls. Coming with two joysticks, a D-Pad, six buttons, and 2 read buttons to round it all off.
It already supports some Android devices and the developers state that phones of similar sizes will also fit into the iControlPad with a little padding. They also have plans to make bigger clamps for the more newer mobile devices with larger touchscreens. Some Android phones already supported are the Motorola Backflip, LG Optimus S, LG Ally, HTC Dream, G1 and the Samsung Intercept.
Pre-order have started on the official site for the iControlPad but don't expect it to be in the sub-$20 price range. One of these bad boys will cost you $74.99. If you aren't getting the Xperia Play then this might be an option to consider, especially if you play a lot of retro/emulator games. We will see if we can get our hands on one to try out.
