Gameloft to release 3D versions of N.O.V.A, Asphalt 6 and Let's Golf 2 for the LG Optimus 3D

All you Gameloft fans out there who are planning on nabbing an LG Optimus 3D Android phone have some good news coming your way. Gameloft has already started working on making 3D version of some of their games already for you to play on the Optimus 3D (and possibly future 3D Android devices as well).

Gameloft has reworked three of their games already for the LG Optimus 3D phone to take advantage of its 3D screen and high powered hardware. N.O.V.A, Asphalt 6 and Let's Golf 2 will be in 3D and embedded on the device for free. This seems to be Gameloft testing the waters on 3D gaming on the Optimus 3D considering the cost of remaking games like this into 3D content is fairly high, sales of the LG Optimus 3D need to be good for more games and developers to jump on board and rework their games into 3D ones.

Both N.O.V.A and Asphalt 6 will come with a software 3D slider so players can adjust the 3D depth effect to how you like it as with any game that deals with camera panning over multiple angles, the 3D effect can be lost as a double-imaging issue can arise. This is especially true if the depth is too great. In games where the camera is much more static, this isn't a problem.

It will be interesting to see how these work out once the LG Optimus 3D is released.
