Want to take advantage of the free games on Amazon's App Store but don't want to use your CC? Here is a bit of a trick.

We have had people asking us if there was some type of workaround that is available so people can take advantage of the free app/game a day that Amazon does through their App Store for Android without having to put their real credit card information in. While there is no real way to do this, here is a little trick that will let you get these free games.

As quoted from our staff member William: "If you have any sort of PrePaid Card like a Visa or anything like that, even if it has no money on it, you can tie it to your account and still download all the paid apps that are free for the day." Basically you can go out if you don't have a prepaid credit card on had and put like $5 on it and use that as your credit card. If you have one already that but doesn't have money on it, you can still use it.

Amazon is only checking that it is a valid number and active, not that there is a balance on it. So if you wish to download the free game of the day (when it is a game) but don't want to use your real credit card information, you can do it this way and gain access to the daily freebies.  Obviously you won't be able to buy anything if there is no balance on your prepaid credit card though.

If you are outside of the US and want to get the daily free games and applications, head over to Androinica for a way to gain access to the Amazon App Store. Can be used in conjunction with this prepaid method.
