Big news out of left field from Gameloft regarding the much awaited sequel to their great 3D FPS (First-person shooter) game N.O.V.A.! At first the news may make you sad unless you are planning to buy an Xperia Play. Why? Because N.O.V.A 2 will exclusive to the Xperia Play for one month before becoming available to other supported devices.
While that may annoy some people, the fact that N.O.V.A 2 is on the way is fantastic news and it is looking to be a lot better than the first one. Everything looks to be improved in N.O.V.A. 2 from graphics to the storyline and it'll even have local multiplayer via 3G or WiFi! Of course it'll also be coming with cut scenes to feed that craving for cinematic eye candy and a full new sound track and voice over work as well.
While I had no problem playing the original N.O.V.A with touchscreen controls, the idea of being able to play the sequel with a set of gaming controls just seems so much better in my mind. Unfortunately, Gameloft did not mention any sort of release date but considering it is playable right now on the Xperia Play, it can't be too far away. Check out the hands-on video below.
