Bird Zapper by Namco heading to Android. Birds are the bad guys this time.

Having been used to the birds being the good guys thanks to Angry Birds, Bird Zapper has them being the bad guys. They have hijacked all the power lines and apparently as a squirrel, this is very irritating to you. This is a match-3 style game with dynamic gameplay with swipe-style controls instead of the usual tapping ones.

Your goal is to swipe your finger over any birds that match up in groups of 3 or more when they are lined up, up and down or all around. There will be some special birds along the way that will give you special abilities to help out in your journey of clearing the power lines of pesky birds. While you're at it, why not tap on some innocent flying birds as they go by to increase your score.

Features:

  • Nice cartoon-style graphics
  • Fast paced gameplay unlike a lot of match-3 games
  • 3 gameplay modes: Survival, Blitz and Zen
  • Tap on flying birds to increase your score
  • Swipe controls
  • Special attacks/power-ups

If you like match-3 types of games then you'll probably enjoy this a lot. Unfortunately it isn't out just yet for Android but NAMCO plans to release it onto the Android Market later this Spring and since Spring is almost over, it shouldn't be that much of a wait.
