Today's free app/game of the day over on the Amazon App Store is Backbreaker Football by NaturalMotion Games. Unlike a lot of football games though, Backbreaker Football blends together individual feats in Football with some pretty awesome 3D graphics and some serious tackles. If you like hurting people in Football, you'll enjoy this game.

The point of Backbreaker Football is to score touchdowns just like you would in normal Football but it is more of a 1-on-1 playing style. You'll have to dodge, spin and side-step your way around opponents as you try to score your touchdowns with combos and multipliers to be had along the way. All of this is wrapped in some nice 3D graphics to supply you with some good eye candy.

Features:

  • Incredibly fluid animation and bone-crunching tackles
  • Challenge and endurance modes
  • Highly detailed player customization
  • Secret content unlocked through competition play
  • Online leaderboards to aid Facebook-based gloating

Normally priced at $2.99, you can get Backbreaker Football for free today off the Amazon App Store. Worth it if you are a pretty hardcore Football fan and like tackling people. Tegra 2 Android device owners, there is a version (Backbreaker THD) of the game available specifically for your devices available through Tegra Zone and the Android Market for $4.99.
