New video showing the first level of Backstab from Gameloft. Looking pretty good.

Lot's of talk seems to be happening about Gameloft's temporarily exclusive title for the Xperia Play called Backstab or at least it seems that way lately. While there isn't so much talk in this post about the game, there is a new video floating around, thanks to PocketGamer, of the first level of Backstab. It looks pretty good so far.

Backstab features an open world type of gameplay, similar to other games like Assassin's Creed or Prince of Persia. You'll be able to do pretty much what you want and the combat is pretty dynamic with things like counter-attacks being possible. This particular game will make good use of the Xperia Play controls but we are interested to see how they convert them to touchscreen when the game comes out for other Android devices after a month or so of exclusivity on the Xperia Play.

Backstab will be available April 18th for the Xperia Play. Check out the video below to see the starting level in-game.
