Just a little over a month ago we reported on an upcoming game for Android called Shadow Era which is a TCG (Trading Card Game) made with Unity3D. Since then it has been rather quiet regarding it's development. That is, of course, until today! Shadow Era has just landed on the Android Market for your TCG gaming fix.

A full TCG for Android, Shadow Era sports some fantastic art on the cards and full cross-platform multiplayer gameplay which is what you would expect in a game of this nature. If you have played any other trading card games, whether online or in real life, then you already know what to expect. If you haven't, TCGs are games played with cards that you collect. Battling other opponents is done using these cards which can be monsters, magic spells or other types of cards.

Features:

  • Amazing card art to rival even the top trading card games
  • Currently more than 120 cards and more being added constantly
  • Cross-platform multiplayer battles
  • Fantastic 3d graphics and special effects
  • Amazing custom soundtrack

Since we posted about this game, a lot of people have been asking us when it would be available and now it is. You'll be able to get more cards through battling AI opponents as well as other players and you statistics and cards will be saved after each match. Shadow Era currently has over 500,000 players on both web and iOS so there are plenty of people to battle right away.

You can grab this great TCG title off the Android Market for free right now. We are going to try and keep an ongoing guide and strategy/combo list either in the tutorials section or on the forums. Feel free to contribute to either by posting in the forums or using the Tip Us! form.

Update April 18th, 2011: Just a quick update For all you Samsung owners having problems. The crew at Shadow Era managed to slim the game size down a bit more so you should be able to install it fine now! They have also left a comment below in case you have any more issues.
