Ever notice that Gameloft tends to release games in groups? Well as of late, Gameloft has already released at least 4 games already in a little over a week. Their new promo video is to showcase all the games coming out shortly or that are already available for Android. However, there is one that we didn't know about.

In the video, recently released games like Dungeon Hunters 2, The Settlers, Shadow Guardian and Eternal Legacy are showcased along with upcoming Gameloft titles we already knew were heading our way such as N.O.V.A 2 (for all devices, not just the Xperia Play). Through the promo video though, they mention one game that, until now, we didn't know was coming to Android. That game is Sacred Odyssey.

Sacred Odyssey is a fairly new game even to the iOS platform and is an Action-RPG title with some pretty slick graphics for your eye candy fix. As with any RPG-style game, you'll have the storyline to follow, quests to complete and equipment to find.

Features

  • The peace of the world is now being threatened. Reunite the 4 fragments of Uryah’s Grail and gain the supernatural powers to defeat Amonbane, the dark lord at the heart of Lasgalen’s suffering.
  • The fight against the demonic Amonbane will mean difficult decisions for Ayden, and Princess Lyanora will help him throughout. But when the moment comes to save the world, will Ayden be ready to make the greatest sacrifice?
  • Ride your horse, Miya, across the expansive plains of the kingdom and launch powerful sword strikes as you gallop through fields of enemies. Your journey will introduce you to many locations and foes.
  • Defeat evil creatures in the Plains of Urvale, fend off enormous bosses in the icy Temple of Altemagus and the volcanic Firepitch Keep to ultimately face Amonbane himself in the royal halls of Kivira Castle.
  • Begin your journey with but a simple sword, acquiring new weapons and abilities along the way. Soon, you will wield the Sacred Shield, Locrian Hawk (boomerang), the Nagual Cobra (grappling hook) and even the platinum Gauntlet of Brakor.
  • Each new piece of equipment will grant you access to new areas, new techniques and greater danger. They will even help you to overcome the many enigmas and challenges you face.

It seems as though Gameloft has been a lot more RPG focused these days with almost half of the games recently released or upcoming being RPG in some nature. No word just yet on when Sacred Odyssey will arrive on Android but as you may know already, we will know before they even announce it's availablity for purchase so stay tuned! Looks like a great game.

Update May 5th, 2011 11:07am: Thanks to Pedro Marques in the comment, we now know that this game is already appearing the catalog if you go to More Games on your phone. This means Sacred Odyssey should be officially out shortly. When this happens it is usually a matter of a day or two before it is made officially available.
