Gamevil's newest release onto iOS and soon Android is an addicting little game called Air Penguin. It's become such a hit that Gamevil is looking into licensing it out for merchandise and even a TV show! However, with success comes problems and a developer by the name of SAI has released a fake version of the game.
By fake we mean not by Gamevil, however, this game is playable if you count the first screen showing up as a playable game. If you are wanting to get Air Penguin, we suggest waiting for Gamevil to bring it officially over to Android instead of buying this fake version that is being sold for $0.99. It will never receive updates or anything like that so aside from wasting your money, you'll be making someone who rips games and sells them money.
This is a blatant scheme to sell a 'game' using the name of a popular title that is already out. The same thing happened right before Angry Birds was released. It's not a huge deal as Gamevil can get Google to take it down but to avoid wasting a dollar, it is best to just not get this at all. Most of SAI's applications and games on the Android Market do not work so it would be best to stay away from them all.
Thanks to our friends over at Androjuegos for the heads up!
