There are a few seriously good poker games available for Android such as Zynga's Live Poker. A company called PlayPhone also has a fairly successful poker game simply called PlayPhone's Texas Hold'em. Having already 2million downloads under their belt from iOS, this new poker game has now landed on Android as well.

With it's arrival on Android, this also brings with it cross-platform multiplater where you'll be playing against other people, iOS or Android, in real time which is where the fun really is when playing poker. Since it arrived 4 months ago on iOS, it has already surpassed the 2million downloads mark which is pretty impressive. So is the game as good as the download numbers? So far yes it is.

Features:

  • 5,000 FREE chips when you start, and 1,000 FREE chips daily.
  • Instantly jump onto a table with the “Play Now” button. Or, scroll through Hold’em Poker tables to choose your best table.
  • Beautiful HD Graphics
  • Great and easy-to-use interface
  • Add new friends to your Friends List, and connect with private messages or post to their PlayPhone wall.
  • How do you stack up against the competition? Check the leaderboards to see where you rank globally and among your friends.
  • Find your online PlayPhone Poker friends and quickly join their table.
  • Running low on luck? Easily switch to a new poker table.
  • Run out of chips on an All-In? No problem. Easily buy chips in-game or earn them for free.*
  • Unlock fun achievements like “Fearless” and “Card Shark.”

Being a freemium game, this means you can play the game in full without spending a penny but if you want more chips right away instead of waiting for the next reload, you can go ahead and buy them. As with any freemium game, PlayPhones Texas Hold'em is available on the Android Market for free! Full press release below. On a side note, the game does have it's issues so expect some bug fixes to be heading your way soon.
