Aeria Games launches mobile games portal. Also announces mobile games coming this Summer.
What appears to be one of the first major free-to-play MMORPG game portals to go mobile, Aeria Games has just announced that it has launched a mobile friendly version of their games portal. Not only that though, they have also announced that they are gearing up to break into the mobile gaming arena.
If any of our readers have played any of the numerous free-to-play MMORPG games available out there in the wild vast internet, then you have probably played at least on of Aeria Games' titles. Just in case the name isn't familiar then here are some titles that might help you remember: Last Chaos, Shaiya, Realm of the Titans and Dynasty Warriors online. That is just four of the more major titles in their line-up. With the new mobile portal, you will be able to keep up-to-date with news and game information and various social elements found on the desktop version of their site. The portal will be visible in it's mobile friendly glory on any smartphone. There will also be features only accessible via your smartphone as well in a contest that starts today:
- Daily Prize Drawings – Daily prize drawings will be held every weekday. For a chance to win, log in to Aeria Games via your mobile device and post in either the Shoutbox or Forums. Players are limited to 2 entries per day.
- Win AP – Each winner receives 5,000 Aeria Points, redeemable for a variety of virtual goods related to Aeria Games’ diverse portfolio of MMO titles.
- Mobile Signature – Forum and Shoutbox posts sent from a mobile device automatically appear on the website with a distinctive “Aeria Mobile” stamp.
That is not the only thing mobile-wise they are planning either. Today Aeria Games has also let out of the bag that they already have a line-up of multiplayer games ready for launch on the mobile space. While exact details have not been released as to what games and genres they will be in, you can expect that they will be 3D and there will be at least one free-to-play MMORPG in there somewhere.
Aeria Games, while being the first to go the mobile route, are not the only ones planning on doing this either. We know of at least one other major MMO company getting ready to invade the mobile gaming space, specifically on Android.
