We got some new information regarding Galaxy on Fire 2 that is going to make a lot of owners of Tegra 2 Android devices very happy. A lot of our readers have been asking us when Galaxy on Fire 2 would be released after a couple of months of delay. Well we have the answer.

Galaxy on Fire 2 is developed by Fishlabs and is an action space themed game designed for Tegra 2 Android devices. We've had lots of hands-on time with this game thanks to an early pre-release copy we have but we also got to see a comparison between the Android and iOS version back in CES 2011. There is a lot more detail graphically that will be coming with the Android version that the iOS version doesn't have. It looks 20x better with little details being included such as rivets in your ships armor.

So when does this title land on Android then, after all the waiting? Well, we are pleased to say that it will be out this week. In fact, to get specific, we were told it would most likely be tomorrow (Thursday June 16th, 2011) but it could end up being Friday. Either way, for everyone who has been patient and waiting for this game to finally arrive, the wait is almost over. No word on exactly what the price will be just yet.

For those of you who do not have a Tegra 2 Android device, there will be a version (not sure if it will be separate or the same download just yet) that you can play on your non-tegra devices. The above screenshots are actually from the Xperia Play version.
