Our friends over at Herocraft have just given us word that they have released the first ever free MMORTS game for Android called Art of War 2: Online. Built off the previous game, Art of War 2, this new version brings with it the ability to play against other people online in real-time, not turn-based.

For those of you who don't know, MMORTS stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Real Time Strategy. Just like MMORPGs, these games feature a massive amount of players but instead of being RPG based, these are RTS games. If you have played Age of Conquest or Uniwar on Android, then you already have a bit of an idea.

Features:

  • Absolutely free
  • Real online RTS for mobile devices.
  • The chance to battle players all over the world.
  • Ratings and ranks system with opportunities to upgrade.
  • Take part in a variety tournaments and win real money
  • Large variety of weaponry, buildings and tactics.
  • Fascinating gameplay.

One good thing about this game is that you can set up clans (guilds depending on what you like to call them) and battle it out with other clans. If you like RTS games and have been waiting on an actual MMORTS to come to Android, well you certainly are in luck now! You can download Art of War 2: Online off the Android Market for the low low price of free!
