During today's EA press conference, the company announced a great new feature coming to the official mobile version of Scrabble. Currently available for iOS and Facebook, EA announced that it will launch cross-platform gameplay for Scrabble across iOS, Android and Facebook. So where is the Android version?
Well, that question was answered during their showcase of Scrabble being played in multiplayer mode. The Android version is set to release sometime next week bringing with it the ability to play against people on Facebook and iOS. Just like the board game, on the mobile version you will be able to play up against 3 other players simultaneously.
Scrabble will also feature the ability to save your game at any time via the cloud. This will allow you to pick your game back up where you left off should you have to suddenly take a break from playing. You will also be able to pick your game back up on any device since your saved game is floating around in the cloud.
Scrabble for Android will be available sometime next week for free. We will make another post when it officially lands on the Android Market.
