So you liked Destroy Gunners and want even more mech-style gaming fun for your Android device? Well lucky for you we have you covered with today's Hidden Gem. Death Cop - Mechanical Unit is a 3D top-down guns blazing alien killing game for your mech controlling needs.
You control your mech, which you can customize with different colors and weapons and each comes with their own stats as well, in the hopes of reaching your goals in each stage and completing whatever the objective happens to be for that stage. You will have to contend with aliens, mechanical spiders, turrets and all sorts of things bent on stopping you from being successful. Thankfully you're in a mech with some big guns and plenty of ammo.
Features:
This is one game you'll more than likely want to have a fairly new higher-end Android device to play this title. Graphically, Death Cop is very polished and the controls are fairly easy to get use to. The two joysticks on the bottom of your screen are your main controls. One is for directional movement while the right-hand joystick is for letting loose with your guns. You guns will keep firing while touching the right joystick which you also move in whatever direction you want to shoot. This makes strafing and other nice little movements possible to some degree since you can walk sideways while shooting forward if you need to.
We did get one force close error while playing Death Cop the first time but since haven't had it happen again. What would be nice to see are more levels and mech along with some sort of DeathMatch multiplayer game mode. Death Cop definitely has the potential to become a hit game on Android with a little more work. If you want to give Death Cop - Mechanical Unit a whirl, just head over to the Android Market where you can pick it up for free. You might also want to check out the game manual over at the official Death Cop website.
