Rovio has announced the next Angry Birds Seasons update during a press conference in China the other day. Dubbed the "Moon Festival", this update will bring a whole new episode to Angry Birds Seasons themed around China and also ties into another product, Angry Birds Moon Cakes.

While the name may not be official as of yet, although chances are it will end up being the official name for the upcoming update, it will be themed after the and sync up with the mid-Autumn Chinese festival which celebrated the largest moon of the year. Since this is based off a festival in China, Rovio has announced that China will get an exclusive release of the game first with the rest of the world following shortly after. The festival is celebrated by eating moon cakes which is why there will be Angry Birds moon cakes available when the game is released in China.

The update for Angry Birds Seasons will arrived sometime in early September with China getting is first exclusively and then shortly after that the rest of the world will see the update pushed out. Unfortunately, no word on whether the moon cakes will make it across the ocean to the US. As for the size of the update, you can expect the usual 15-30 new levels along with Golden Eggs to find of course!
