The annual Golden Joystick Awards have now opened up voting for the best of the best when it comes to gaming. While you can head over there and vote for your favorite MMORPG or perhaps your favorite FPS game, for all of us mobile gamers out there, it is the Mobile Gaming category we look at.

This year though Android has a much stronger presence with almost half of the games available to be voted on being available on the Android platform. While there are some obvious ones that made it to the list, some are actually quite a surprise. Feed me oil and Backbreaker 2: Vengeance are two games that are a bit of a surprise when it comes to the list of available games to vote on that are also available for Android.

Full list of games for Android being voted on at the Golden Joystick Awards:

  • Angry Birds Rio
  • Backbreaker 2: Vengeance
  • Cut The Rope
  • Dead Space
  • Feed Me Oil
  • Fruit Ninja
  • Game Dev Story
  • N.O.V.A 2
  • Order and Chaos

While it shows that Android has come a long way in terms of gaming we did notice one interesting fact about all the games up there for voting. While there were some iOS-only games on the list there were no Android-only games. All the Android games on the list to be voted on were also available on iOS. There are plenty of games that could make that list that are Android-only and it is a bit of a shame that none were included. If you want to go vote on your favorite Android game on the list of finalists, just head over to the Golden Joystick Award site and cast your vote!
