Bunnies, those fluffy soft loveable creatures everyone likes, are actually some mean creatures that hold deathmatch tournaments when us humans are not around. However, thanks to Mentalwarp Games, we can now be apart of the whole experience with their new upcoming game, Bloody Bunnies.

Bloody Bunnies is a new game coming to Android and iOS that features those loveable creatures in their more 'natural' state: finding carrots and killing one another. This game will be cross-platform compatible so you'll be able to kill some of your iOS bunny friends while enjoying the nice looking 3D eye candy that will come along with the game.

Features:

  • Amazing 3D environments
  • Online multiplayer up to 6 players & 2 players on a single iPad (not sure if this 2 player on one tablet feature will be in the Android version just yet)
  • Openfeint leaderboards & achievements
  • 3 addictive game modes
  • 4 beautiful and exciting maps
  • Cute or Bloody option
  • Easy to use and intuitive interface
  • 2 tight and easy control schemes

There are three games modes in Bloody Bunnies which you can check out in the video below. These game modes are Carrot Hunt, Survival and Deathmatch. All three modes are pretty self-explanitory and for each mode you can choose to tone down the blood with the 'Cute' option or keep it real with the 'Bloody' option.

Mentalwarp games are not new to the gaming scene either having worked on projects with clients such as Ubisoft and Liquid Entertainment. You can expect Bloody Bunnies to land on both Android and iOS Sept. 1st. No word on pricing just yet.

Update August 16th, 2011 7:22am: The great folks over at Mentalwarp Games got in touch with us to let us know that Bloody Bunnies will indeed be free when it is released. Also for all the tablet owners out there, Bloody Bunnies will be optimized to play on tablets as well.
