Amazon Free Game Today August 17th: Overkill - Side-scrolling shoot 'em up game.

Amazon's App Store for Android has another free game available today for those of you who have access to the App Store called Overkill. Developed by Creative Mobile OU, Overkill is a flash back to the arcade days where lots of games were side-scrolling space shooters.

Overkill is no different than a lot of those older arcade games we used to play. It features side-scrolling action where you control your ship, blast enemies out of the skies, grab power-up and hopefully make it to the end of each stage without losing all your lives first.

• Experience superior graphics and high quality sound as you carve a path through hordes of enemy ships
• Blast baddies and asteroid fields with upgradeable cannons, rockets, and mines
• Play on easy, normal, hard, or extreme mode for a varied challenge

• Autosave when backing out of the game or exiting to your home screen
• Set controls to use the accelerometer or the touchscreen and keypad, trackball, or directional pad

Overkill is a solid example of a side-scrolling arcade game that works well on your Android device.
