Finnish indie developers Mikrotie are set to bring their great looking indie platform/puzzle game to Android (as well as iOS and other platforms) called Treemaker. This indie title looks great and looks like it has potential to be a fun but challenging game for us to enjoy.

The basics of the game are that you play as the main character where you have to aid other creatures in reclaiming the trees. Fashioned in a lot of ways of other hit games such as Angry Birds or Cut the Rope, Treemaker blends in some physics with a platform/puzzle style game where current, at time of release, there will be three world in-game, each with their own set of levels. Each level will also have a ranking system of up to 3 stars.

The controls are all tap and swipe based where you'll be tapping the screen to shoot your rope out, swing on it and gain speed, in order to help reclaim all the other creature's trees for them. The graphics are a nice blend of 3D and 2D art which looks pretty nice in the preview video.

Mikrotie plan to update Treemaker with additional bundles of levels within updates as well as seasonal themed updates as well. Currently Treemaker has been submitted for approval on iOS and an Android version will be hitting the Android Market this month as well. No word on pricing yet.
