Vendetta Online by Guild Software gets Xperia Play support.

Vendetta Online is a space-themed MMORPG for Android tablets, preferably of the dual-core variety. In a recent update however all this has changed and now this massive online game comes with support for the Xperia Play controls. This is pretty big news for a few reasons.

For those of you who do not know what Vendetta Online is, it is an MMORPG that has been playable on your PC since 2004 and was recently brought over to mobile, Android specifically, last year. Slated for only tablets due to the vast menu system and just sheer eye candy, anyone who wanted to play this game essentially needed a tablet. This update that brings Xperia Play support is good news for a couple of reasons.

First, you get to use the Xperia Play controls which, for a space themed game regardless if it's an MMO or not, is much more handy to use than touchscreen a lot of the time. Secondly, this means the game has formatting for phones. Could we see a phone optimized version coming out soon for the rest of the Android phones out there? Possibly. This could be the first step to that or it could just be an Xperia Play exclusive due to the controls it has. The latter is more than likely though.

Vendetta Online has just about everything you could want in a space themed MMORPG including quests, mining resources, real-time PvP including massive spaceship battles, a slew of gear and upgrades and much more, all wrapped up in 3D eye candy for you to enjoy. If you've played games similar to this on the PC such as Eve Online then you already know what to expect. It comes with a single-player mode which you can play for free but if you want to jump into the MMO part of it all you have to sign up for a subscription.
