OrangePixel, one of the main developers of awesome retro games on Android, has come out and revealed a new game coming to the shores of Android this month called StarDash. What was supposed to be a side project has turned into yet another full game for OrangePixel.

StarDash is OrangePixels answer to the question: How would a Nintendo Gameboy game look on Android? Considering Nintendo probably won't release any games officially for Android any time soon, since they are all tied up with the Wii U and 3DS right now, at least we can see one developer's idea of what it would look like if Nintendo brought over some old school Gameboy games.

A lot of details are still unreleased but you can see the Gameboy style reflected in StarDash quite nicely even with the off color tones. StarDash looks to be a platform game similar to that of Mario Bros. but OrangePixel has added some newer game mechanics into the mix such as three star ranking per level, unlockable special temple levels which you need to find hidden keys for and things of that nature. StarDash comes with 30 levels which are broken up into groups of nine levels over the course of three worlds. Each world also has one hidden temple level as well to round the total up to 30 with more planned in future updates.

If you are a fan of OrangePixel then you will want to get this game when it launches. The same goes for any retro game fans out there as OrangePixel always makes great entertaining retro games. No word just yet on an exact release date or pricing but it will be out sometime this month.
