New 3D MMORPG for Android called Elemental Knights Online getting English version soon

Posted by AndrewH in Game News on September 08, 2011

There is a new 3D MMORPG on the Android Market called Elemental Knights Online: The World and even though it is currently in Japanese language only the developers, Winlight Co., plan to release support for the English language soon. Currently this game is in the beta stage of development but you can play it now.

During the beta phase of Elemental Knights Online, you will be able to play a part of the game for free while beta testing is going on. Whether this means that high level content will be unlockable through the use of in-game currency as with games such as Pocket Legends or if the game itself will be a paid download or subscription-based remains to be seen but it is looking pretty good already.

Elemental Knights is a true anime-style MMORPG so it has a lot of cuteness inside the game but so far the gameplay is pretty solid and everything looks pretty sharp so far. Keep in mind though that if you go to the Android Market and grab this game, you won't be able to read a whole lot unless you know Japanese, for now anyways.

Elemental Knights Online comes with four classes for you to choose from: Fighter, Thief, Cleric and Wizard. This is a real-time 3D persistent world MMORPG like most others are so when you sign out of the game, the game continues on while you're not in there but other players are. There is customization for your character's appearance as well as you can choose between a male or female version of each class. One feature the developers have included is with how you character will evolve. Through the use of experience points, you will be able to eventually create your own unique class through upgrading skills and abilities.

Of course you will also get everything you would expect to find in an MMORPG including in-game chat, hundreds of quests, a slew of gear and areas to explore. Unfortunately there is no exact date as to when the support for English will roll out or when the beta will end but feel free to check it out anyways!

Thanks to Pedro Marques for the heads up!
