In indie game developer news, Fakepup Games is gearing up to release their newest title onto Android called Super Bit Dash. For you retro game fans out there, Super Bit Dash will feature retro-style graphics along with a chiptunes soundtrack for you to enjoy in this platform running game.
Super Bit Dash is a running platformer where you run to get to the end of each stage, jumping over obstacles and collecting coins along the way. Unlike most running platform games currently available, you have the ability to use a quick burst of speed when needed or you are able to hit the breaks and slow down as well. In fact, if the need comes up to hit the breaks while in mid-air, you can do that too. This will lead to some pretty interesting level designs we are guessing.
The developers of Super Bit Dash were trying to emulate 8-bit gaming with the graphics, sounds and gameplay and decided that the best course of action is to ditch the idea of using a D-pad and instead you will be able to do all the actions through the use of taps and swipes.
Super Bit Dash is slated to come out sometime this month on both Android and iOS. No word just yet on pricing. To see the game in action, just check out the trailer below.
