Popular iOS game, Orbital, now available on for Android as well.

Bitforge Ltd has released their popular iOs puzzle game onto the Android Market a couple of days ago. Orbital is a great puzzle game where you shoot orbs onto the "grid", hitting other orbs to gain points until you end up hitting the "death line" which, when you hit it, ends the game.

As with all things glowy that seem to attract my attention to them like a moth to a flame, Orbital comes wrapped up in some great glowing retro-style graphics. The gameplay, however, isn't overly unique in terms of how the game mechanics work. If you've played any sort of bubble buster type of games then you are already familiar with how this one works for the most part. You shouldn't have any problems just jumping right into the game and playing.

Features:

  • Single & Two player mode
  • 3 game modes: Gravity, Pure & Supernova
  • Beautiful particle effects
  • All-time & 24 Hours online Leader board
  • Facebook connection: Compare with your friends on Facebook

While the game is great playing it on your own, you do have the option for a two player game should you feel like challenging your friend to a match or fifty. You can pick up Orbital off the Android Market for $3.41 or you can try before you buy it with a free lite version. One quick item to note though, it appears that the odd person in the market comments has the game not filling up the entire screen's real estate.

Thanks to Roger Lyons for the heads up!
