Developers of the original Steambirds aerial combat game, SpryFox, have teamed up with Halfbrick and are gearing up to release a sequel to this rather popular game called Steambirds: Survival. Set in the Steambirds universe, the Allies are currently losing the battle against the Axis.

Similar in style to the original Steambirds game, this is a combination of traffic control and aerial combat gaming genres which brings about some pretty unique gameplay. Steambirds: Survival expands on the original in both storyline and gameplay.

Features:

  • 8 Different aircraft to play
  • 64 Missions
  • Improved detailed graphics over the original
  • Each aircraft has their own strengths and weaknesses
  • Power-up to collect

Aside from the slew of missions that will come with Steambirds: Survival at launch, there is already another 7 aircraft and 56 mission slated for release as a free update shortly after this sequel launches onto the Android Market. Fans of the original, and there are a lot of you considering Steambirds has been played by over 12 million people, won't have to wait long to get this sequel as it is slated for release this October and will be available for free. Until then though, enjoy the official trailer for Steambirds: Survival below.
