Square Enix apparently didn't have enough big news for Android games at the Tokyo Game Show that just ended as they have just announced that Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be heading to the Xperia Play exclusively this coming November.
Originally this game was released onto PSN and the Xbox Live Arcade before making it's way over to iOS last year. Now it will be arriving exclusively on the Xperia Play for Android gamers to play should they own an Xperia Play.
In Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, you will be playing as Lara Croft who is teaming up with an ancient warrior to stop all hell from breaking loose at some old temple. The game features a top-down isometric view wrapped up in some nice 3D graphics. It looks very Diablo II in style.
However, according to Ben Cusack, head of mobile for Square Enix Europe, this is only the beginning for Square Enix on Android. Apparently they have some big plans for our platform in terms of gaming, and the Xperia Play as well. This all falls in line with some of the big named games announced during the Tokyo Game Show which included Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger and more.
Thanks Anthony for the heads up!
