Ex-CEO of Mythic, Mark Jacobs, has decided to come out of a 2 year hiatus and open up a new game development studio called City State Entertainment which will specialize in casual games geared towards mobile platforms including Android and iOS. They even have one already in the works set for release in Q4 2011.

While Mark Jacobs is a veteran of the gaming industry, having founded the MMO studio Mythic, he isn't alone when it comes to game development veterans on his new team at City State Entertainment. In fact the line-up consists of people who have worked on many award-winning games including Dark Age of Camelot; The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim; Aliens Online; Warhammer Online; Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines; Myth III – The Wolf Age; Neverwinter Nights 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords and The Temple of Elemental Evil: A Classic Greyhawk Adventure.

Unfortunately there is little information available about their first release which is slated for Q4 2011 that will be heading to Android and iOS. All we know is that the studio will be focusing on casual games so we can assume that this will be their first casual title, possibly of the MMO variety. Considering the team at City State Entertainment, we will be definitely keeping an eye on them for future information about this upcoming title as it is sure to be a good one.
