While the majority of us are sitting here waiting for Minecraft: Pocket Edition to finally get released at some point today for all Android devices 2.2 and up, there is a neat little 3D platform game that landed on the Android Market today as well called Helium Boy.
Helium Boy was developed by a friend of Daniel Kaplan who works for Mojang. While the friend, however, doesn't work for Mojang, they tend to promote great indie games to play so we had to check it out. It's definitely a neat little game where you will be controlling a boy who uses helium filled balloons to travel through each level to collect stars. While do this though you will have to watch out for things like birds, ninjas and various other things that can pop your balloons and end all your star collecting fun.
The graphics are pretty sharp as well as the animation as well. If you are looking for a neat little game to play on and off then you might want to check this new platformer out. It'll cost you $1.99 and it will definitely help kill some time. You can check out the game in action in the trailer below.
