Interesting indie game from Dev Amanita called Botanicula 'probably' coming to Android

While normally we don't usually post about games 'probably' coming to Android too often, Botanicula by Dev Amanita is an interesting point-and-click exploration game that, even though it's probably coming to Android (and iOS), we are hoping it actually does make that jump.

As we just mentioned, Botanicula is a point-and-click exploration game about a group of friends who happen to be little tree creatures who set out on a journey to save the last seed from their Home Tree. Their Home Tree happens to be infested by parasites though so it won't be a safe journey for the five friends.

Botanicula happens to be one of those games that thrives on the saying 'games as an art form', similar to titles like El Shaddai or other artsy indie titles, which you can definitely see from the beautifully rendered world in the screenshots above. As you'll see in the trailer below, the art and animation happen to be quite impressive and definitely out of the norm when it comes to games, mobile or otherwise. For those of you in the music scene, especially regarding foreign bands, the music in Botanicula is being done by a Czech band going by the name of DVA.

Botanicula is set to be released onto PC and Mac in early 2012 and the developers have said it will probably land on Android (and iOS) shortly after the desktop launch. For now though, you can check out the trailer below to get an idea of the game.
