Well it seems the crew who have been developing the World of Midgard cross-platform MMORPG for Android has been rather busy, much more so than we thought. Apparently they have been developing a rather impressive looking MMORTS game called Lords At War.

While there isn't a ton of details about this game just yet, we do know a few things already. Lords of War, as we mentioned, is an MMORTS game. For those of you who do not know what an MMORTS game is, it stands for Massive Multiplayer Online Real Time Strategy. Similar to an MMORPG but just a different genre of gaming. We also know that it will be cross-platform multiplayer compatible between Facebook, Android and iOS although no PC/Mac version has been mentioned, unlike World of Midgard which will have a PC/Mac client as well.

Graphically, from what we can see in the preview video, it looks pretty slick featuring a top-down isometric viewpoint with 3D graphics. There are plenty of buildings and units to create as with most RTS games as well as upgrades for both. The map area is previewed in the video as well and is pretty big so there should be plenty of competition and wars being waged.

Currently the game is in beta form on Facebook if you don't want to wait for it to land on Android to give it a try. Lords at War is slated for release on iOS in November with the developers mentioning the Android version will need additional tweaks and testing which they hope to have done and the game available by December 2011. You can keep an eye out for a possible Android beta to come out over at the official Lords At War forums.
