Well it looks like we can stop guessing at what all the hints Rovio has been dropping over the last week and a half were for and our guess was correct that it was an update and not a new game. Angry Birds Seasons has just received it's new Halloween updated called Ham'o'ween and indeed there is a new bird to play as well.

Considering the size of most Angry Birds Seasons updates, this particular new episode in the Angry Birds Seasons is a rather large update compared to the rest. Here is what comes with the Ham'o'ween episode:

  • 30 new levels
  • A new playable orange bird
  • Angry Birds Seasons now has it's episodes categorized by years (example: 2011, 2012 etc etc)
  • More Golden Eggs to be found
  • Some giant Pumpkin bonus
  • Golden Eggs are not numbered any more
  • Dark Pumpkins will act at TNT

The new playable bird is quite entertaining as well. This new orange bird acts like a blowfish and starts off as a little tiny bird. Once triggered though during flight or a second after he lands he inflates to a huge size. He doesn't explode or anything but he does hang around for awhile which can cause extra damage if used in a sort of combo manner with other birds.

The Ham'o'ween update for Angry Birds Seasons is already out and live as of this morning on the Android Market so head on over there and grab the update. Don't forget to let us know about the Golden Eggs you find and any other surprises!
