Back in August we mentioned that a new mobile 3D MMORPG is being developed by TenStrangeGuys called Destiny of Ares. In that article who showed off some of the concept art, which looked awesome, went over the back story and some of the planned features. Now we get a first glimpse into what the Destiny of Ares world will look like.

For those of you who don't feel like heading over to our previous article to learn more about the back story of this new MMORPG and all the planned goodness for it, here is a quick list from that article about the planned features:

  • 3 races + 1 AI race
  • World divided on 3 parts
  • 3 main classes for each race
  • Post fantasy Sci-Fi
  • Race versus Race versus Environment
  • Dungeons at own territory at start levels
  • Race AI help to Races who are not so strong to defend main resource gathering points
  • Several times in a period all races grouping for Big Challenge
  • Crafting + Mining skills
  • Level-up by current activity
  • Hardcore Race versus Race or Player versus Player locations where you can lost all

TenStrangeGuys have decided to release a video showing off what some of the current landscape looks like in Destiny of Ares, as seen in the video above. It looks pretty nice already for being in the early stages of development. Since it's still early in development though, don't expect this to land on Android until much later this year, if not early 2012. This will be cross-platform compatible with iOS devices as well.

You can also check out a very small preview of one of the creatures in Destiny of Ares in a video as well over on their YouTube channel. It's a midget-type creature, called a Fire Razor Midget, working on something with a wrench who then looks at you, probably wondering why you're watching him in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks to John for the tip!
