Pinball fans have something to talk about as veteran Pinball game development studio, Farsight, have announced a whole new collection of Pinball games coming to just about every platform, including Android. You may be familiar with their other collections such as the Pinball Hall of Fame in 2004 and again in 2008 featuring different companies that made real pinball game and their table designs.

Farsight Studios, and their Pinball collections, digital preserve the designs of the old school pinball games we used to play in the arcades back in the day. Their 2004 collection featured Gottlieb collection of tablets and the 2008 Hall of Fame collection featured some of the popular Williams designed tables. This new collection, called the Pinball Arcade, and will feature digital re-creation of actual pinball tables made by some of the best pinball companies around including Williams, Gottlieb, Bally and a few tables licensed from the last remaining coin-op pinball maker, Stern.

Farsight Studios has announced that the first four tables available will be Arabian Nights, Black Hole, Theatre of Magic, and Ripley's Believe It or Not with an additional two tables as downloadable content every month. They with also be adding features including online tournaments and head-to-head play and by the time it is all said and done, there should be over 50 of the greatest pinball tables available in the collection.

Considering what we have seen in terms of pinball from titles like Zen pinball on Tegra 2 devices and the upcoming quad-core Tegra 3 version which looks slick as hell, this collection from these veterans should be simple awesome, especially for those of you who are pinball fans. You can check out the trailer for the Pinball Arcade in the video above which shows a preview of the first four tables. Expect to see this land on Android in early 2012.
