Fans of Jet Set Games' Highborn title have some good news today as they have just announced that Chapter 2 is on the way to Android soon. For those of you unfamiliar with Highborn, it is a turn-based strategy game with a bit of action and RPG gaming meshed right into the mix in a fantasy theme.

Chapter 2 is set to expand on the original game with 8 new missions with some of the familiar faces and humorous dialog you've come to enjoy from the first one. While the heroes are searching for the Arch Lich, they will apparently stumble onto a new evil which they will need to confront. After moving your units around, you will be zoomed into watch the battle unfold.

Features:

  • New Enemies and Allies – Several familiar faces decide they look better in blue than red…or vice versa.
  • New Structures – Factories and teleporters offer new strategic options for confusing the heck out of your enemy.
  • A Face Lift – 3D units and environments feature improved graphics.
  • Spell Details – Monoliths now display which spell they control, along with a cool-down timer.
  • Stats Galore – An end-of-mission statistics screen displays info on turns taken, enemies killed, number of structures captured, and more.
  • Shake to Undo – This highly requested feature has been added to the single-player campaign, allowing players to undo their entire previous turn.

Currently the original Highborn from Jet Set Games is only available on the Amazon App Store for $0.99 and this new chapter will be pushed onto the the Amazon App Store as an update which means those of you who already own a copy of Highborn will just have to update. If you don't yet own a copy of it, you can pick it up over there. The update was just submitted which means it should go live in about a week. You can check out the official Highborn trailer below if you are unfamiliar with the game.
