Cross-platform plans for upcoming MMORPG called Origins of Malu to include mobile?

Here is a bit of interesting information that just came out today. Burning Dog has announced their plans for cross-platform compatibility for their upcoming Triple-A MMORPG called Origins of Malu. While this does include a client for both PC and Mac, apparently mobile is being tossed in there as well.

Unfortunately, at this moment in time the details about what mobile functionality will come with their cross-platform plans are almost nil. Just the fact that there is some form of mobile functionality being worked on for phones/tablets. This may not even translate over to Android although every major company that has put out a mobile app for their PC games has brought it to Android. That being said it would be a safe bet to think this would also arrive on Android, whatever it is.

This could anything from an application similar to Blizzard's Remote Auction House or even the Guild Wars 2 application. Possibly something along the lines of the planned Modern Warfare 3 app which lets you modify your gear and weapons while on the go. This way you can jump right into gaming when you get home. However, it could also be a full version of the MMORPG scaled for mobile play as well. It's totally feasible considering where the hardware is going these days and more Triple-A titles coming over to Android are in the works.

This announcement comes on the heels of a planned partnership with Alienware as well who were also rumored to be developing an Android tablet designed for gaming. With that said, don't be surprised if the next time we talk about Origins of Malu if it's to announce a full version of the game for mobile. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Origins of Malu, definitely check out the official website as it has lots of information already. It is set to launch sometime in 2012.

We will be sure to post an update as more information is released.
