Get a little turret warfare gaming in with Metal Rain

There is a new turret combat game on the Android Market for higher-end Android devices called Metal Rain. Developed by Adam Hammer, this game is just as you might imagine it to be and have probably played similar style games in the arcade back in the day.

In Metal Rain you will be going up against AI opponents in single-player mode where you'll have to get the trajectories and velocities set up for each shot. As you keep shooting you try to aim at your opponent by adjusting the trajectories and velocities for each shot and, hopefully, you kill them before they kill you.

Features:

  • Tank on Tank Action
  • Local Multiplayer and Singleplayer with AI bots
  • Multiple Weapons
  • In-Game Economy
  • OpenGL Es2.0 Graphics
  • Free Game with Free Access to all Addon Content.
  • Dozens of level customizations
  • Fire and Explosions

For those of you wanting to go up against your friends in Metal Rain, you can do so through local multiplayer. Currently Metal Rain is in the Alpha stages of development and even though it's pretty fun already and the 3D graphics are pretty solid as well, there will be some bugs that pop up or possibly an issue with the controls at times. This is all being worked on for future updates when it goes into Beta status. You can download Metal Rain off the Android Market for free. It is recommended that you play this on a newer high-end Android device.

You can check out the game in action in the trailer below.
