One of the games Glu mentioned in a recent announcement that would be coming to Android is a title called Blood & Glory. Well there wasn't a whole lot of information about this game aside from it being described as a head-to-head 3D combat game. Well we know a lot more now. Why? Because it's now available on the market.

Blood & Glory is an Infinity Blade style Gladiator game where you go head-to-head in some brutal combat in an arena against other opponents. This is a freemium game as well although interestingly Glu Mobile has really toned down the purchasable items in this title. Only a few weapons and armor seem to be available through buying with real cash, almost everything else can be bought with money earned after each match.

Blood & Glory Features:

  • IMPRESSIVE HD VISUALS - See and feel the raw violence of the fighters and the intense combat arena
  • SWIPE & SLASH GORE - Take to the Arena in the most action packed swipe and slash fighting game on the Marketplace
  • LETHAL WEAPONS & ARMOR - Equip an arsenal of lethal weapons and armor tailored to suit all fight styles, including blades & shields, and destructive dual weapons
  • SPECIAL ATTACKS & COMBOS - Complete special attacks and combos for the ultimate victory!
  • INVICTUS VICTORY - Be a real champion and earn Invictus medals by winning tournaments flawlessly. Don’t lose and never surrender!

This is pretty much a game for anyone who wants to just get down and dirty and beat the crap out of other oppoenents using some rather brutal weapons that were available back when gladiators would duke it out for others to watch and enjoy. You'll be able to switch weapons and armor between fights and even bust out some combos while you try to hack someone to death.

It's a fairly good sized game too. You'll have a secondary download that will be around 75.3MB in size. The entire game is free and is ad supported with ads not showing during the actual gameplay, only in the menu area. The items you buy with in-game currency purchased with real money is rather limited and seems much more completely optional than previous releases. You can download Blood & Glory off the Android Market right now. To see the game in action, check out the trailer below.
