YoYo Games in the past have released quiet a few rather interesting and fun games onto Android including They Need To Be Fed and Karoshi. While some titles they release quietly, the ones they announce ahead of time, like the upcoming platform puzzler called Rick O'Shea, are the ones you have to keep an eye out for.

Why? Because those are the titles that are generally the best ones from the YoYo Games camp. Today they have announced a new game that will be coming our way next week called Rick O' Shea. In this game you will be controlling Rick using cannon to avoid various obstacles and dangers such as timed spikes and pools of sharks in order to get Rick to the exit in each stage. The cannons don't move so the only thing you will be able to control is the rotation of each cannon.

Rick O’Shea Feature:

  • Simple, intuitive single tap gameplay
  • 120 fiendish and addictive levels to ricochet through
  • 30 Achievements to unlock, and 12 mini game levels to find
  • Download act 1 for free, with a further 4 acts to “purchase and play”

Rick O'Shea will be a free download when it is released with the first act coming free with the game. Should you like the game enough, you will be able to purchase the next three acts through in-game purchases. The first two packs you can buy will give you more new acts while the third pack will give you eight new character to play with. Each pack will cost $0.99. Rick O' Shea is slated for release next week on November 22nd, 2011. You can check the game out in action in the trailer above or read more about it in the full press release below.

YoYo Games Announces Rick O’Shea for iOS and Android

Show stopping title set to cannonball onto the iOS and Android platforms

London, UK – 17th November 2011 - YoYo Games, the leading portal for user-generated game content, is pleased to announce that Rick O’Shea, an innovative platform puzzler, will be released on the iOS and Android platforms on the 22nd November 2011. Rick O’Shea is YoYo Games’ latest title created using GameMaker, and follows in the footsteps of previous gaming hits such as Karoshi, They Need to Be Fed and Pollushot.

Rick O’Shea follows the career of Rick O’Shea, a human cannonball at a circus who performs death defying stunts for the crowd. Players must control Rick and steer him around using cannons to avoid dangers such as timed spikes and shark pools, all so that Rick can reach the exit of each level. Each cannon is static so the player can only control the rotation before firing our hero in the desired direction. Once fired Rick will ricochet off ceilings, walls and floors until he reaches another cannon or the exit.

Rick O’Shea will feature:
- Simple, intuitive single tap gameplay
- 120 fiendish and addictive levels to ricochet through
- Game Centre support on iOS
- 30 Achievements to unlock, and 12 mini game levels to find
- Download act 1 for free, with a further 4 acts to “purchase and play”

Rick O’Shea is available to download, for free, for iOS and Android devices from the 22nd November 2011, and includes act 1. Three downloadable content (DLC) packs will offer players the chance to expand their ricocheting adventures, with packs one and two containing two brand new acts, and pack three giving players eight brand new characters to play with.
