DotEmu has announced that the classic arcade game that they have brought over to Android called R-Type is now compatible with the Zeemote JS1. The Zeemote is a bluetooth controller with an analog stick and four button in which you can map out depending on what game you're playing.
For those of you who are not familiar with R-Type, it is a retro side-scrolling space shooter that was actually pretty tough of a game to beat back in the days of arcades. DotEmu specializes in bringing these games to various platforms for retro game fans to enjoy, such as Android. With the latest update to R-Type bringing Zeemote support, DotEmu is partnering up with a few select site to give away a staggering 150 Zeemotes per site.
R-Type Features:
It was a tough game to play back then and DotEmu has kept it as close to the original as possible with only modifying the controls to suit mobile devices. Now you can get really into the whole arcade feel of R-Type by using a Zeemote. If you haven't yet nabbed this classic game off the Android Market, you can do so for only $2.99.
So what do you have to do in order to win a Zeemote JS1 (retails for about $25)? If you are a resident of the USA, just simply fill out this form and the first 150 people who submit the form will win their own Zeemote. That's it! Good luck and remember this is for US Residents only. Winners will be announced November 27th, 2011.
