Chrono Trigger coming our way to Android sooner than we think?

Square Enix has already announced today that they will be launching their Android store, which will debut in Japan December 1st, 2011. It seems though that hot on the heels of that announcement is another one pertaining to their game Chrono Trigger which is slated for release on Android and iOS. We are talking the real old school awesome Chrono Trigger that is.

Well following today's announcement about the Android store, Square Enix has also announced that Chrono Trigger will be heading to iOS in December. It seems an odd move to announce Chrono Trigger for iOS right after you announce a dedicated Android store for Square Enix games. Perhaps we are just speculating at this time since it doesn't make sense to go that route.

However, keeping in mind all the recent news from the Tokyo Game Show this year and announcements since then from Square Enix regarding Android and upcoming games, don't be surprised if we here in a week or two that the Android version is also on it's way. Until then though, we get to sit and ponder and possibly play it on your old console if you still are fortunate to own one. Withe the iOS version coming out next month, I personally hope that the Android version isn't too far behind.
