Madden NFL 2012 gets updated and optimized for the Xperia Play

Released back in August 2011 by EA, Madden NFL 2012 is the newest addition to EA's Madden line of football games. Surprisingly this was released to all devices at first, something EA doesn't tend to do often. Now in a recent update though they have added support for the Xperia Play controls along with some other little tweaks.

With how EA is almost always pandering exclusives to the Xperia Play first before releasing games for the rest of us to actually play, Madden NFL 2012 was an exception to that. In fact they have done the exact opposite and added Xperia Play optimization last? Is the world ending? Hopefully not since we haven't fondled a quad-core tablet yet. Still, the new update brings the ability to use the Xperia Play controls to Madden NFL 2012.

Other changes to the game include:

  • Now with updated rosters – get the most authentic MADDEN NFL 12 experience yet!
  • Some behind-the-scenes adjustments to improve overall gameplay

So if you haven't snagged the newest addition to the Madden line of games yet, you can still do so for $4.99 off the Android Market. If you have an Xperia Play, even better for you now.
