We've been keeping an eye out for when FIFA 12 would land on Android, or more specifically the Xperia Play, these days. Originally slated for a November release, it was looking like it could be early December instead. Well EA has gotten FIFA 12 out as of today for the Xperia Play keeping with their November release time frame.

FIFA 12 is the latest addition to the FIFA line of games and a lot of fans of the franchise have been waiting for it's release. Well today it has become available for the Xperia Play and, for a limited time, is free to download from EA's store through the on-device launcher that comes with the Xperia Play. FIFA 12 features improvements all the way around including graphically with dynamic shadows, lighting, weather conditions, antialiasing, background audio mixing, animated crowds and through controls as well.

As one might expect, this is a temporary exclusive for the Xperia Play but it will be coming to other Xperia devices shortly. For all other Android devices owners outside of the Xperia family, you'll have to wait till February 2012 in order to play it. This is a worldwide exclusive to so if you own an Xperia Play you, regardless of your location, you should be able to nab it right now. Once the limited time offer of downloading FIFA 12 for free onto your Xperia Play expires, which will be pretty fast we are sure, it'll cost probably around $5. Make sure you have free space though, it'll be an additional 1.5GB of space required for the game.
