Vector Unit, the masters of water racing games and the developers of the hit title Riptide GP, have released another water-based racing game onto the Android Market called Shine Runner. This is yet another great racing game from the dynamic duo of Vector Unit but with a bit more of a humorous take on the genre. Ever wanted to be a redneck?
Well now you've got your chance to be one and race on the marshes and swamps in the Bayou in Shine Runner. Equipped with your trusty fanboat, probably some cheap beer and all day to do nothing but race and hit chickens with your fanboat, you're off to beat other rednecks like yourself.
Shine Runner Features:
Aside from the fact the environment is completely destructible when you crash into things like docks sticking out that happen to be in your way, you'll also be able to buy/sell items like booze and smokes in smuggling runs (which is what the theme of the game is) to earn extra cash during each race to put towards your flatboat to improve on it. If you are a fan of Riptide GP, this is pretty much a given as a purchase. If you haven't played Riptide GP but enjoy racing games, you can grab this off the Android Market for $1.99. Oh, and it's not a Tegra 2 exclusive.
Thanks to ShadowOfAnAndroid and CrAsHeRiT for the heads up!
