We have reported on this title a few times and now it seems that it will finally be making a debut onto the Xperia Play as a temporary exclusive next week. The PSN title, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be landing on Xperia Play devices early next week.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is an action/puzzle game in a top-down isometric perspective, similar to Diablo 2's viewpoint, where you will play as Lara Croft. She will be teaming up with an ancient warrior in this game in order to stop all hell from breaking loose in an old temple.

Visually the game looks pretty good even if it is using the new viewpoint which the developer chose due to being on mobile. The standard point-of-view most Lara Croft games come in wouldn't work on mobile that well. We also now know that this game will come with 10 of the 14 levels found in the PSN version which will equal to over 9 hours of gameplay time from start to finish, if you don't have any troubles that is.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is slated for release early next week with a soft release date of Dec. 12th, (Monday). The game was originally slated for a November release so it is running a bit late but it looks as though everything is good to go for all you Lara Croft fans out there. The rest of us will have to wait till the temporary exclusive period is over before we get to play it. Usually that is around a month's time but it could be longer like we've seen in the past such as with Minecraft: Pocket Edition.
