Classic game Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk is now available for Android

We have already talked about this great classic retro game over the past couple of weeks a few times. Well the good news is, if you have been waiting to play Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk, then you're in luck as it is now available on the Android Market for download.

Your goal is to rescue and awaken Daisy which will also somehow bring peace to all your friends who are the Yolkfolk. If you haven't noticed by now with the title, the main character is an egg. The actual series itself debuted in the 80's and lasted until the early 90's so it wouldn't be surprising if a lot of people don't know about this action platformer from back in the day but the series was quite popular.

In this game you will be exploring the world as it was in the original version from back in the day with running, rolling and somersaulting your way through each level in your quest to save the princess. The levels have been reconstructed to be as close as possible to the original game while the graphics have had a complete overhaul and gotten some HD treatment to ensure new life is breathed into this classic game but keeping it as close to the original in every other sense.

If you are a fan of retro games, or just happen to like action platformers like Dizzy, then this is pretty much a done deal. If you've never played Dizzy before, even back in the day, you should still consider giving this game a whirl as it is pretty entertaining and fun to play.
