Barely 24 hours after posting that PopCap's two hit games, Peggle and Plants vs Zombies, happen to be on their way to the Android Market they actually show up and are now available for download. Up until now both games had been exclusive to the Amazon App Store.

Unfortunately this exclusivity meant that everyone who didn't have access to the Amazon App Store, which is a lot considering it's only available to residents of the USA, were unable to get either game downloaded to play. Well that isn't the case anymore as EA has pushed both games onto the Android Market and cost the same as the Amazon App Store version at $2.99.

Plants vs Zombies Features:

  • Conquer all 50 levels of Adventure mode — through day, night and fog, in a swimming pool and on the rooftop
  • Battle 26 types of zombies including pole-vaulters, snorkelers and bucket-heads
  • Earn 49 powerful perennials and collect coins to buy a pet snail, power-ups and more
  • Open the Almanac to see all the plants and zombies, plus amusing “facts” and quotes
  • Collect 10 fun-dead achievements
  • Enjoy all the zombie-zapping fun of the hit PC/Mac game — fully optimized for Android!
  • Hilarious graphics, great soundtrack and a bonus music video

Peggle Features:

  • Master 55 levels and 40 Grand Master challenges
  • Pick your level in Quick Play or Challenge mode with a flick of your finger
  • Enjoy the Extreme Precision wheel — fine-tune your aim for masterful shots
  • Use cool new style shots (like Off the Wall, Double Long Shot, and Eye of the Pyramid) for racking up more bonus points
  • Visit the Trophy Room
  • Save and replay your hottest shots
  • Play friends and family in Duel Mode
  • Listen to your own music while you play

Both games are available now to download off the Android Market and like we mentioned, will only set you back $2.99. So if you have been waiting for either game to finally make it to the Android Market, now you can stop waiting and start playing. For those of you curious as to why EA is publishing both games, it's because EA owns PopCap Games now.

Thanks to ShadowOfAnAndroid for the heads up!
